About the Team


As part of our dedicated and high performing Environment & Planning Directorate, the Development and Building team are responsible for the delivery of Building Code of Australia requirements and Building certification, Development Assessment and Pre-lodgment and specialist advice.

The department facilitates quality, compliant, sustainable development across the LGA ranging from established urban areas, through to urban renewal activity centres, future growth areas and environmental sensitive significant areas.

About the Opportunity and what we can offer you


In this role you will provide accurate expert technical advice and assistance to the public in respect of all general planning, development and building matters.

This position will also provide professional advice, education and guidance to Customer Service staff and all internal customers.

  • Permanent, Full time
  • Salary is from $72, $84,559.01 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation.

What we're looking for
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion or near completion of tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline.
  • Relevant practical experience in a similar role. Minimum 2 years experience.
  • NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with a commitment to the provision of quality customer service.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplined team.
  • Commitment to quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce work within established timeframes and with limited supervision.
  • Sound computer literacy with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
