Based in Botany, NSW with branches in Melbourne and Gold Coast, our business is expanding to meet demand we now require a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our thriving team.

    The Role:

    • Located in Botany, Sydney
    • Full-time, Permanent role
    • 8am – 4pm
    • Monday to Friday
    • Full training provided.

    Position Overview .

    The function of the Day Controller is to assist the Operations Manager (OM) in overseeing, supervising, as well as partaking in the efficient management of warehouse operations. This position within Megadeck requires consistency with attention to detail and a high level of communication.

    Key Job Activities :

    • Efficient planning of allocation of resources (crew and vehcilces) to ensure quality delivery of our customer commitments.
    • Responding to changes on the day by reallocating resources as required
    • Policing compliance with Megadeck processes and documentation
    • Recording of team performance against metrics for warehouse operations: Stage technicians, Goods OUT, Goods IN, Warehouse Processors
    • Monitoring staff well-being and adherence to WHS policies and referring to management issues identified
    • Liaising with internal teams to ensure the availability of stock resources for delivery
    • Managing crew allocation within goods IN and OUT based on supervisor requests and resource planning
    • Managing onsite teams to ensure and record on-time deliveries and adjust day plan to accommodate unplanned delays
    • Minimise OT by calling on flexible resources to complement plans for today and tomorrow including accommodation of turnaround.
    • Resource delivery of and negotiate terms for late confirmations for today and tomorrow
    • Reporting directly to the Operations Manager
    • Safely loading and unloading of vehicles.
    • To assemble/dismantle and team-lead projects on-site as required
    • Keeping the Warehouse department, organised, free of hazards and tidy.

    Key Skills

    • Sound knowledge of workplace safety
    • Ability to delegate responsibility to others with positive results and have your directives followed competently.
    • Drivers License (MR or HR license would be a plus)
    • Knowledge of the building of Megadeck staging systems and a good knowledge of the full range of Megadeck equipment, where and when specific items should be used. (Training provided)
    • High attention to detail and processes.
    • Proficient with Problem-solving.
    • Excellent understanding and use of equipment and tools involved in the construction of stages and the like.
