With growth comes opportunity, and as such an opportunity for a Controls Assurance Manager is available in the Risk Management area.

This is an important role and will carry the remit of managing operational and compliance risk by reviewing operations to assess controls.

This is a great chance to step up and display your breadth of experience in internal audit, control and assurance.


Working closely with the business and key internal stakeholders, you will conduct controls testing, maintain the operational risk system and be responsible for reporting and analysis.


Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Identify risks through controls testing process
  • Assess and quantify flagged risks
  • Work with relevant business units to develop a plan for addressing problem areas and managing risks going forward
  • Prepare analysis and reports on findings
  • Maintain risk assessment system


To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in Internal Audit with exposure to banking and financial services.

You could be working in a Big 4 firm in Audit Advisory and be looking for the next step. This role will give you the opportunity to utilise your controls and assurance background.

You will bring to the role, demonstrated experience in interpreting consumer credit law, privacy law, AML legislation, and trade practices in Australia and possibly New Zealand.

Strong process review skills are essential, as is knowledge in management of operational risk.
