The teams is also responsible for driving digital adoption of our online banking platforms, features and products, and for ensuring our customers are supported with timely, personalised messages within these channels in collaboration with the supporting teams and stakeholders.


The wider project teams are made up of digital journey optimisation managers (DJOMs), content publishers, capability & analytics experts, marketing managers, product owners and content creators.

As a SEO (Owned Media) Manager, you will use your experience to identify opportunities to improve organic performance, breakpoints in our processes and the customer experience and drive solutions to increase visibility and conversions for the business.


We are looking for an analytical and perceptive professional who is a skilled communicator and able to collaborate with various teams.

Up to date knowledge of SEO (Owned Media) practices and techniques is essential to this role.


You will be responsible for day-to-day delivery of technical, content and user journey optimisations; analyse data to improve web experience visibility performance and help support real-time behavioural targeting and personalisation initiatives carried out by different teams from CommBank, NetBank and CommBank App to deliver strategies for existing / new features and products.


On any given week you will

  • Craft a vision for how our owned assets can work together with other digital channels to take our audiences on a nurture journey.
  • Bring key stakeholders along and gain buyin to that vision.
  • Assist and work collaboratively with a team of highperforming online content producers, publishers, product owners, paid & social marketing teams, analytics experts and DJOMs to bring that vision to life, having responsibility for overall web experience optimisation and site integrity across the chapter.
  • Prioritise and manage website projects and initiatives, including content marketing strategy, other marketing campaigns support on the website, identify conversion rate optimisation opportunities, onpage, and core web vitals (page speed) optimisations plus Generative AI changes to search behaviour in line with the best practice SEO program, local SEO, mobile SEO, in line with our techstack rollouts.
  • Monitor site performance data and proactively suggest optimisations or address potential issues.

We are interested to hear from people who have

  • Excellent understanding and background in SEO
  • Demonstrated experience managing large websites, data, conversion rate optimisation and content & intent strategy.
  • Effective communication skills, a team player, demonstrate leadership skills, and have exemplary project management skills.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google tools like Search Console, Trends, My Business, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and others.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence stakeholders across all functional areas of an organisation.
  • A degree in digital marketing, communications, business, product management or operations would be highly regarded.
