About the Role


The Civil Asset Management branch provides high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture).

Continuous performance improvement through leadership and employee engagement is a critical focus of the group


The Civil field worker will carry out a hands-on role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of civil maintenance and construction tasks.


  • Assist in general construction and maintenance labouring tasks associated with and including truck operations.
  • Meet obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act (as detailed below) and the Environmental Protection Act.
  • Assist the Field Leader and provide onthejob coaching as required.
  • Ensure that all daily documentation is completed on time (e.g. Timesheets, Log Books, Incident Reports etc) and report operational and safety matters to the relevant officer.

About you


As a Civil Field Worker you will have demonstrated experience and ability to operate and undertake general maintenance of civil assets, trucks, and machinery.

You will have demonstrated problem solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction and work programs to complete tasks within set timeframes


You will have physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting.
