About the Role


Parks & Gardens branch is responsible for the care, management and operation of a comprehensive network of public open space and recreational areas which have been established for active and passive recreation for the community and the preservation of the natural features of landscape and environment along the Sunshine Coast, largely within the urban environment.


The Administration Officer provides advanced administration and support services with a high level of professionalism and customer service to both internal and external customers.


Key Duties

  • Support multiple teams across Parks and Gardens, specifically Parks Contracts, and occasionallyParks Operations and Parks Arboriculture, working in various locations to provide required support in a flexible manner.
  • Provide advanced administrative services that anticipate and support the service delivery requirements of the team.
  • Carry out business administration functions such as processing financial transactions, drafting of correspondence, preparation of contract performance, and compliance reports for distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance data capture ensuring compliance to contract specification requirements and integrity of information.

About you

  • As an Administration Officer you will demonstrate broad experience in a wide range of administrative or business office related work
  • You will possess the ability to work in various office locations and provide in person support each day to various work teams
  • You will have strong verbal and positive communication skills with the ability to selfmotivate and demonstrate a professional "can do" attitude
  • As a requirement of this role, you will have a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration/Local Government or similar or equivalent relevant experience
