We have an opportunity for a Registrations Support Officer to be part of our Biosecurity Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.


The primary purpose of the role is to support the Biosecurity Division which has overall responsibility for disease and pest management, traceability, accreditation and certification, compliance, surveillance, preparedness, policy, planning, and response activities.


The role contributes to the delivery of mandatory registration, accreditation and certification activities that underpin the schemes that are essential to ensuring the retention of marketplace confidence in states Biosecurity registration processes.

The role delivers requirements under State and National Agreements.

which are reliant on accurate information management including maintaining information on the PIRSA databases which support disease surveillance and control and traceability.

  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of registration processes
  • Be adaptable and flexible to any situation
  • Effective communication skills both in writing and verbally
  • Able to work as a team and independently

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
  • Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).

Requirements:


  • Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to drive.
  • Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
  • The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

Remuneration
***ASO2 - $57,842 min - $62,221 max per annum, plus superannuation
