Great role for Senior Payroll Officer looking to make the step up

The Company
Our client is a fantastic public healthcare business that are renowned across Australia. It has a welcoming culture and offers excellent staff benefits and work-life balance.

They're currently looking at adding a Payroll Team Leader to their team in a role that could suit a Senior Payroll Officer with leadership aspirations.


Responsibilities:

Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager, your duties will include:

  • Leading a medium sized team
  • Payroll processing for staff including pay adjustments, leave forms
  • Prepare and reconcile weekly payroll
  • Processing of annual, long service and personal leave
  • Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
  • Mentoring and leading the payroll team
  • Preparation of end of month payroll reporting
  • Interpretation of numerous EBAs and Awards
  • Other duties as requested from the Payroll Manager
The successful applicant will ideally have experience in a similar payroll leadership role as well as the following attributes:

  • Prior experience in interpreting EBAs and awards
  • Proven knowledge of processing terminations and new starters
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation attributes
  • A strong passion to lead and develop staff
