Position: Data Analyst
Contract Duration: 12 months
Location: Southbank, Brisbane – 2 days WFH
Salary: $850 – $940 per day inc super

Our client, an iconic commercial organization, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their data team based in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse role that will leverage your full skillset to uplift the capability of the data team and support key projects with their data activities.

Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in various data-related activities aimed at enhancing the organization's data capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

Conducting data discovery to uncover valuable insights.
Documenting data requirements for key projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Performing source to target mapping to facilitate data integration processes.
Collaborating closely with Business Analysts to understand reporting and data requirements.
Defining current and future state data flows to optimize data processes.
Engaging in data governance activities such as identifying Personally Identifiable (PI) and Sensitive Information (SI) data, defining metadata, and liaising with business and technology teams to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Proven experience working across a range of data projects such as data warehousing, data migration, and/or information management.
Strong proficiency in SQL scripting to manipulate and analyze data effectively.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts to design efficient data structures and schemas.
