About the role:


As part of the Shared Services, Financial Services Department, the role includes the provision of advice and direction to clients that focuses on providing support and delivery of purchasing administration services.

Your duties will include:


  • Maintain accurate computer and manual management information, ensure system integrity and prioritise own work program to meet customer expectations in a timely manner.
  • Explain rules, procedures and policies to colleagues and stakeholders on a range of finance, purchasing, asset and administration activities.
  • Draft routine internal and external reports and correspondence.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment with a strong customer focus.
  • Assisting in EOFY tasks and providing advice to our clients regarding their purchasing needs.
  • Creating annual orders and asset orders for the 21/22 financial year.
  • Troubleshooting blockages within the automated system between Accounts Payable and Purchasing.
  • Managing queries and requests via the centralised PBEA.
  • Assisting Supplier Creations in creating and amending supplier information in VPFS oracle system.
  • Problem solving and liaising with suppliers.
  • Maintaining integrity and attention to detail with data entry.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Good communication skills and ability to function as a team member in a diverse accounting environment.
  • Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Department
  • Demonstrated capacity to plan and prioritise work to ensure outcomes are achieved

Requirements and relevant information:


  • One (1) x fulltime, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
