Description

Completed Mechanical trade qualification as Fitter/Turner; or

Current electrical contractors license with handson experience in a maintenance focused role,
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems,
Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings,
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters,
Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations,
Availability to work night shifts,
Full working rights in Australia.

Here at Amazon we are looking for Maintenance Technicians to join the team at our fast paced Print on Demand (POD) Fulfillment Center in Moorebank for Night Shift.

Please note that the current shift pattern includes 10 hour shifts x4 nights per week (Wednesday to Saturday).

Purpose of the Job:

The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out, including Lockout Tagout.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site e.g. Conveyors and PLCs.
Carry out building maintenance activities e.g. install bollards, repair doors.
Log all work in CMMS System.
React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue.
Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.

Experience with CMMS systems
Experience in high production, manufacturing environments and sortation machines,
Experience in maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
