Description

The purpose of the role is to govern the delivery of capital works projects allocated to SSP's outsourced providers to schedule, quality, scope and budget in accordance with relevant legislation and government policies.

The Opportunity

  • Monitor third party vendors for compliance with government policies and standards on quality, methodology, documentation, governance, and government policy and legislation.
  • Manage KPI, benefit realisation tracking and outcomebased contract establishment processes including identifying opportunities to improve outcomes, efficiency and value for money.
  • Monitor deadlines on contract deliverables, ensure project parameters including budgets, schedules and scopes are adequately managed within tolerances and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients.
  • Assess procurement plans, claims, variations and Extension of Time requests and progress payment requests.
  • Completion of various administration duties as required with respect to data recording and financial management.
About You

  • Experience and proficiency in project management, governance, procurement and contract performance management from a private/public construction sector background.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse internal and external data inputs from a range of sources to produce meaningful reports, briefs and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and clients with competing demands to achieve agreed outcomes, with a strong focus on client service delivery and in a manner that identifies opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • A tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, building management, construction or architecture will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify emerging issues and risks and develop strategies to address them.
