Starting Time:

ASAP

Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8AM-04:30PM


Pay:
$30 - $35 per hr plus Super & OT


About the role

We offer a permanent position to a skilled Mechanical Trades Assistant to support Quality Assurance workers in the workshop, performing various mechanical fitting and testing tasks.


Responsibilities:


  • Assisting QA workers in the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery and components.
  • Follow technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Use hand and power tools to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, and grinding.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:


  • Prior experience in a similar role as a mechanical trades assistant or relevant mechanical work experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to effectively use and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in mechanical fitting.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and practices in a workshop environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
