Stores Department at
Wollongong Hospital
Where you'll be working
Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500.
The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
Wollongong is located an hours drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west.

What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for the acceptance, checking, matching and accurate recording of receipt of both stock and non-stock goods into the loading dock, and assisting in the timely delivery of the goods to the relevant departments.

- Demonstrated experience in managing stores and inventory control.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of computer systems and experience in the use of the oracle system.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and work unsupervised.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Work Health and Safety issues in particular basic manual handling techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in providing services with a strong responsive customer service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, staff and other key stakeholders.
- Class C Drivers Licence.
