What you'll be doing
The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is accountable for developing and continuously improving maintenance strategies.

The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is responsible for developing detailed and clear maintenance work packages and attainable maintenance schedules to support the delivery of district wide maintenance.


All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as, Engineering, Asset Management, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and/or Heavy Industry and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a maintenance planner and scheduler or maintenance engineering role.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake short, medium
- and long-term planning for maintenance.

  • Excellent prioritising, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Competent in the use of computerised maintenance systems and maintenance and spare parts management techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, including those skills required to work effectively within a matrix organisation.
