Description

We are seeking an outstanding individual to lead the development and delivery of innovative and integrated Total Asset Management (TAM) strategies, asset renewals and disposal programs, to optimise asset performance, improve asset sustainability and ensure facilities are safe, sustainable and fit for purpose.


As the Manager Asset Management you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of strategic asset management planning and systems aligned to the ISO 55000 series of Asset Management standards and Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF).


This position will also monitor and report on the efficient and timely delivery of asset management plans that support the strategic objectives and ensure Swinburne University meets all statutory obligations in respect to asset management.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in asset strategy and asset management system development and implementation including life cycle costing and information management. Previous operational asset management knowledge and skills.
  • Relevant professional background and extensive experience across a broad range of the management, maintenance, assessment and operation of the built environment, infrastructure assets and supporting services through their lifecycle.
  • Significant experience in budget (Opex & CAPEX) planning, management and reporting
  • Experience in leading or contributing to estates strategy development and implementation including master planning, space strategy and property management.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management of campus and asset portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary/Graduate qualification in Facilities and Asset Management or an equivalent combination of relevant training and relevant experience.
  • Proven interpersonal skills to lead and manage a team of staff to achieve position objectives and personal development.
  • As well as manage and negotiate with stakeholders, contractors, senior management and Executives.
