Job Specific Duties - Property and Business Continuity Officer
As the Property and Business Continuity Officer, you will support the delivery of NHMRCs business continuity function and day-to-day property maintenance, leasing and property service provider (PSP) contract management including:

  • carry out the day-to-day facilities operations for the Canberra and Melbourne offices, including the Whole-of-Australian-Government Property Services Coordinated Procurement (PSCP) arrangements, inbox management, logging work orders and liaising with service providers
- support the management of accommodation, facilities and environmental policies and procedures, including internal and external reporting requirements
- assist with financial processing and procurement activities associated with property operations and business continuity functions
- collaborate with the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Team on WHS matters relating to our tenancies
- assist with security operations and associated office services including reception, meeting room support, and mail room services as required
- undertake business continuity functions including testing, monitoring and evaluation of policy and processes, and work collaboratively with other business areas to ensure NHMRC's business continuity plan meets legislative and operational requirements
- assist in the management of the NHMRC Emergency Management Framework.


Job Specific Duties - Security Officer
As the Security Officer, you will support the delivery of NHMRCs security operations and compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) including:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the NHMRC security system, including responding to security incidents, access control monitoring, issuing and auditing passes, management of clearances, security awareness and training requirements in accordance with the PSPF
  • Facilitate PSPF compliance and reporting requirements, review and update associated policies and procedures, support the Assistant Director, Director and Chief Security Officer in all security related matters including secretariat duties for the Security Governance Committee
  • Provide high quality, sound advice including researching and preparing security travel briefings, security governance committee papers and conducting associated educational and administrative tasks
  • Assist with property operations, business continuity, emergency management and reception functions as required including mail room services and meeting room support
  • Assist with financial processing and procurement activities associated with the security function.
