The Corporate Operations and Information (COI) Branch is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of NHMRC by providing cost effective, efficient and timely corporate services that respond effectively to current and future business needs.


The COI branch consists of the following sections:

  • Finance
  • People, Property and Security
  • Data Analytics, Reporting and Medical Research Endowment Account
  • Grant Systems
  • Grants Solutions, Investment and Support
  • Information Technology Management and Strategy

Position Description

Grants Systems
Grants Systems is a small team responsible for the management and administration of NHMRC's grants management and grants reporting environment through both inhouse staff and outsourced arrangements


Its broader responsibilities include:
- contract and service delivery management
- project management and solution implementation
- system support
- system configuration and administration
- cloud-based grants reporting environment


It is important to note that as a small team, supporting over 60,000 external users and an agency of approximately 200 staff, plus labour hire and contractors, the roles and responsibilities are often shared across team members within the section.


About the position
- provide support to the Grants System Section
- provide information and draft replies to straightforward queries
- draft briefs and reports
- provide advice and procedural guidance to staff and stakeholders on routine matters
- assist in the coordination of responses to requests for information
