About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division
The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of early childhood education and care initiatives, overseeing comprehensive investments in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future.

Key initiatives support families with young children to access the services they need to support their own prosperity and well-being; valuing and growing the early childhood education and care sector and investing in early childhood teachers and educators.

About the Role
Within the Early Childhood Outcomes Division, this role provides secretariat and reporting for the NSW Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund Board. The Board is responsible for the $5 billion commitment by the NSW Government to increase participation in the state's workforce, particularly for women, by making quality early childhood education and care more affordable and accessible.

As a statutory agency, the Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund Board develops strategic investment plans and administers programs to meet Fund objectives. The Senior Programs Officer manages the development and implementation of a range of administration, assurance and reporting activities to support the Board.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Able to identify issues, and take an analytical and strategic approach to developing solutions

Essential requirements of the role

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
• A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
