Exciting opportunities exist for enthusiastic Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists or Mental Health Nurses to join the team Noogal Clinic Community Team at Northern Health.
Noogal Clinic is an integrated community mental health service which provides recovery oriented mental health care to adults aged 16-65 years old within the Northern catchment.
Clinicians at Noogal Clinic use their clinical mental health knowledge, skills, expertise to the assessment, delivery of support, treatment and provision of targeted interventions to the consumers of the service.

The Role:
- Provide timely comprehensive recoveryoriented assessment, care and interventions in collaboration with consumers /carers/families.
- Ensure carers, family and significant others are engaged through our consumer's journey as appropriate.
- Provision of intensive communitybased interventions and outreach support as clinically indicated to consumers and their families
- Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Welldeveloped skills in writing and an ability to promptly prepare on the appropriate documentation for assessments, treatment plans, transition summaries and other forms of documentation.
- Participate in discipline specific clinical supervision and workload management. This will include attendance and participation at clinical review and other reflective spaces.
- Ensure contact hours are completed each month and entered into the appropriate data base.
- The acute community intervention clinician will be supported to utilise their discipline specific skills within their work and will have an active role in clinical review discussions, treating team reviews, completing of relevant documentation and participating in ongoing professional development.
- There is the option of portfolio/special interest work depending on clinician expertise/interest and needs of the team.
About you:
- Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
- Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with consumers who have cooccurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
- Ability to work with consumers, family and carers from a range of cultural backgrounds, and to provide gender sensitive services.
