Description
Victorian Home and Community Care (VHCC) is looking for a support coordinator manager to lead a small team of passionate and diverse Support Coordinators to support and achieve outcomes for NDIS participants.
VHCC is dedicated to bringing a trauma informed and family inclusive practice approach to disability support and recognises that disability supports must work collaboratively with other formal and informal supports.
VHCC is an organisation undergoing significant growth and operates across Melbourne with offices in Fitzroy and Boxhill.The role
Key tasks
- Managing staff including human recourses and supporting the team to navigate the service system and explore a range of service options available to them within their community
- Manage staff training and personal development.
- Locate, coordinate, manage and or facilitate a range of supports and support providers to meet identified needs
- Business development
- Liaise with accounts and payroll
- Maintain all legislative documents and procedures.
- Liaising with clients and key stakeholders
- Strategic management of all operational decisions
- Ad hoc administration duties
Eligibility criteria
- Tertiary qualification and experience related to disability, allied health, social work or case management.
- Experience in the support coordination role (1 year minimum).
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice in disability or an allied health setting.
- Understanding of the NDIS or demonstrated ability to operate within a regulated and wellstructured welfare setting.
- Commitment to working across disciplines to deliver a tailored service that meets the aspirations of voluntary clients and delivers improved quality of life across all domains.
- Valid Victoria drives license.
- Valid NDIS Screening with Worker Check.
- Fully COVID19 Vaccinated
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and lead a team to work towards achieving objectives for participants and contributing to organisation vision and mission.
- Strong organisation and problemsolving skill with the ability to use critical thinking to find creative solutions.
- Strong crisis management skills to able to guide and navigate incidences with participants or staff.
- Ability to write reports and computer skills for the recording of notes, gathering evidence, writing reports, and other documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the understanding of diversity and ability to build rapport with various stakeholders.
Salary:
$88, $95,000.00 per year
