    Job Title: Diploma Qualified Educator (Part-Time)

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team in providing high-quality education and care to children. As a part-time role, you will contribute to the daily operations of our wonderful 47 place center, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children's growth and development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development principles, and be committed to creating positive learning experiences for children.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate educational programs that align with the center's curriculum

    Create a safe and inclusive environment where children can learn through play

    Supervise children during indoor/outdoor activities ensuring their safety at all times

    Observe each child's progress, document milestones, and communicate with parents regarding their child's development

    Collaborate with other educators in planning special events or excursions

    Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, accidents or any relevant information pertaining to the welfare of children

    Skills:

    Strong understanding of child development principles and practices

    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

    Ability to engage positively with children on an individual basis as well as in groups

    Good problem-solving skills

    Patience, empathy, creativity are essential qualities

    Qualifications:

    -Minimum Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (required)

    -A current Working With Children Check clearance (or ability/willingness to obtain one)

    -Knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) guidelines preferred but not required

    Experience:

    Entry-level - No prior experience required; however any experience working/volunteering with young children will be highly regarded.

    Please note that this is a part-time position requiring availability during set hours/days.
