About the Centre/Service


Columbia Park Early Learning Centre is a community based, not-for-profit, long day education and care centre with integrated 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten program.

Located in Wheelers Hill; south east of Melbourne on Wurundjeri Country. With a new upgraded natural outdoor environment and we are surrounded by open parkland. We provide professional, positive work culture and innovative educational program children on a daily basis in a well-resourced centre. We aspire to provide a stimulating and educational play-based curriculum.

We provide a safe, secure and learning environment where all children are able to experience a sense of belonging, being where childhood is a time to be, in the here and now and becoming where the child actively particaptes as citizens.

One of our main focuses is to form collaborative partnerships with children, families and our community.


Work Days of the Role
Monday, Wednesday and Friday


Hours of Work of the Role


rotating shift Monday 8 hrs shift, Wednesday 6.75 hrs shift and Friday 8 hrs shift (total 22.75 hrs per week).


Description


We are seeking experienced educators who are motivated, enthusiastic and innovative with passion and commitment to early childhood education and quality outcomes for children, families and the Centre.

Educations with strong leadership and communication skills which support collaborate engagement with others and proven abilities to work as a team member is crucial for these positions.

Knowledge of the National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework for Australia, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, Early Childhood Australia's Code of Ethics and the ability obtain the best outcomes for the children and their families is required.


Qualifications

  • Mandatory Qualifications
  • Diploma Qualified Educator, OR equivalent qualifications is essential for this position (this qualification must be NQF approved)
  • Knowledge of the NQS, EYLF, VEYLDF, OH&S and National Law and Regulations
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in early childhood education programs, communication, problem solving abilities, leadership and teamwork
  • Certificates and Checks: Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate and CPR, Asthma Management Certificate, Anaphylaxis Management Certificate are essential
  • Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector
  • All About Allergen Training
  • Food Safety certificate
  • Covid 19 Vaccination (doudle vaccination requirements)
  • National Police Check
  • Working with children check
