WAAPA is one of the world's leading performing arts academies, delivering the most comprehensive range of performing arts training in Australia.

Our students are able to develop their skills on-stage as an actor, dancer or musician, or behind the scenes in production, design or arts management.


This position, which reports to the Operations Manager provides highly professional and comprehensive administrative support with focus on business process improvement.


Your skills and experience will enable you to resolve issues, develop solutions and provide sound advice to key internal and external stakeholders.

You will be working closely with the Executive team, Academic and Professional staff across the WAAPA.

Key Criteria

To be successful in this role you will have significant administrative experience, have a genuine curiosity and desire to actively improve business processes, and have experience leading a team.


You will be able to demonstrate:


Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.

A thorough understanding of, and excellence in, the practices, systems and procedures of providing administrative support;
The ability to plan and co-ordinate multiple projects, in compliance with organisational and external policies, processes and standards;

The ability to work autonomously, take direction and motivate self and team members in a busy environment when managing competing priorities and deadlines.


You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $85,551- $92,301 PA plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
