About the opportunity:
We are currently looking for 2 Maintenance fitters to work at our Canberra manufacturing site.
As an integral member of the Canberra maintenance team, the Shift Maintenance Fitter will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture within our Canberra Manufacturing Site.
You will provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support.
Day Shift:
We're looking for a day shift maintenance fitter to work from 6am - 6pm Thursday - Saturday. On Wednesdays you will work a 6 hour shift from 12pm - 6pm.
Night Shift:
We're looking for a night shift maintenance fitter to work from 6pm - 6am Sunday to Tuesday. On Wednesdays you will work a 6 hour shift from 6pm-12am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
- Carry out service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility, Prioritise all types of given work
- Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment
- Participate in all training as required by the company
- Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies
- Point of contact when attending a breakdown
Experience required:
- Mechanical trade certificate
- High level of technical and diagnostic skills
- Processed based risk assessment skills
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
