Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Events team works in partnership with all lines of business to plan, execute and support client conferences and events.


Event teams are located in key markets in APAC, EMEA, NA and LatAm and comprise of experienced event professional with the specialized expertise and supplier relationships to execute events to the highest standard while closely managing costs.


Key responsibilities:


  • Lead event initiatives in region, partnering with lines of businesses, marketing and functions to develop impactful programs aligned to business strategy
  • Manage the endtoend process of event planning, ranging from event briefs, research, approvals, invitee & speaker management, venue setup, event design, onsite support, production management (audiovisual, virtual event management), budget management and postevent analysis
  • Effectively manage external vendors and venues on all eventrelated matters
  • Effectively manage corporate hospitality and ticketing working directly with ticketing vendors and recording of ticketing through a global ticketing portal for audit purposes
  • Provide support across J.P. Morgan franchise sponsorships as well as cross lines of businesses events, ensuring benefits are delivered, effectively leveraged and flawlessly executed
  • Manage and keep track of event budgets with a view to cost efficiency
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures with regards to reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
  • Accurately maintain Corporate Meetings & Events database which includes (but is not limited to) event metrics, budgets, invoicing, ticketing and event collateral
  • Develop partnerships within the team for coverage on complex conferences and events, and build relationships for new projects with other Lines of Businesses

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Events, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hotel Management, or a related degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in event planning and management/execution, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong problemsolving, analytical and project management skills with the ability to confidently lead and manage events on an endtoend basis
  • Clientfocused, highly organized and processoriented with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
  • Confidence to be an ambassador to internal management with the ability to forge strong relationships, interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player with proven ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Effectively collaborate with team members, vendors and internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent English oral and written communications skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency in an additional language would be an advantage
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and must be savvy with technology
  • Experience managing virtual events desirable
  • Periodic afterhours work will be required
  • Periodic travel within the region may be required
