Our Security Services support team is building an exciting financial technology product that exposes bank's proprietary quantitative and technology infrastructure as part of the firm's next generation digital offerings to select clients.


As a Site Reliability Engineer in the Securities Services team, the successful applicant will join a leading entrepreneurial and collegial team within the Asset Manager Platform business that is responsible for the support of this extensive platform and to help and support the development of innovative pricing, risk and trade management tools across all asset classes and financial instruments.


This is an exciting position for a talented and energetic engineer who thrives on new challenges, possesses true entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.


You will:

  • Work on some of the most complex problems at the intersection of two dynamic industries: finance and technology
  • Be part of a new business initiative within JPM that will create a significant revenue stream for the firm and influence the commercialization and gotomarket strategy of the service
  • Partner closely with our clients (asset managers, hedge funds, investment advisors, investment banks) to understand their needs in order to shape the product roadmap
  • Interact with other highperforming teams within JPM to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank

Responsibilities
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in scripting languages to be able to support the live platform
  • Strong skills in at least one of the following:
  • Complex financial systems
  • Databases (Oracle, SQL)
  • Distributed systems
  • Proficient at Unix / Linux and associated tools
  • Cloud computing
  • Python, Bash
  • SRE/DevOps
  • Previous use of monitoring tools
  • Experience in ITIL Level 2 type support processes
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, including network technologies and protocols
  • Dedication to team effort "whatever it takes" multitasking and perseverance with crossfunctional partners
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail
  • Continuous improvement and automation first mindset, including scheduling tools
  • Ability to collaborate with highperforming teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently triage issues with consideration of associated SLAs
  • Good level of ITSM knowledge and tooling like ServiceNow and familiarity of other tools like Jira, Confluence, GIT
