THE POSITIONReporting directly to the Global Senior Vice President of Finance, the Senior Finance Manager plays a key role in the day to day financial operation of the Australian and New Zealand business units.

The is responsible for all areas relating to financial management, including AP, AR, Payroll, cashflow, purchasing and inventory management.
The role is also responsible for the consolidation of the Group results and management of the annual audit.

The candidate will perform all duties while managing and mentoring a small team responsible for data entry for AP and AR.

The role will also liaise with the US Finance team for consolidation of the monthly and annual Global financial results.

ABOUT YOUWe will consider candidates that demonstrate the following:· An individual contributor who demonstrates a culture of execution· Team player who is both focused on success and has ability to work independently and own their role· Advanced written and verbal communication skills and a strong aptitude to prioritise your work· Strong adherence to Continuous Improvement and solutions based thinking RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES· Oversee/perform the daily financial responsibilities for AP, AR, Payroll, and month-end close· Oversee/perform monthly/annual financial activities, including tax preparation· Oversee preparation of annual statutory audit and financial statements· Oversee purchasing, warehouse, and inventory management· Monitor cashflow projections and manage cash balances· Establishing and maintaining controls· Research accounting issues in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and/or tax authorities and present them to management· Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements· Directs annual budgeting process· Oversee inventory valuations/costing· Plan and execute strategic projects· Analyze revenues and expenses monthly to ensure they are recorded properly· Perform other analytics and monitor KPI's· Respond to all general inquires to internal/external customers· Works directly with department leads to provide financial information· Propose/Implement process improvements· Maintain/Improve policies and procedures· Mentor and train direct staff· Other duties as assigned WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS· Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration· CPA or CA qualified· 5+ years' experience in progressively responsible financial leadership· Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and ability to manage and directly operate financial accounting function· Knowledge of applicable compliance rules including ATO and payroll· Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment· Proficiency with Cloud ERP systems (ideally Navision)· Experience with Tm1 reporting tool (desired but not required)
