  • The Cardiology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a major tertiary and quaternary referral centre, apart from transplantation with particular strengths in interventional Cardiology, electrophysiology and pacing, and adult congenital heart disease. The Department is affiliated with the University of Melbourne with major interests in arterial grafting, offpump bypass, valve repair, aortic and adult congenital surgery.
  • This position is for a Cardiologist with experience and expertise in Electrophysiology/pacing and defibrillator implantation. This position would suit a Cardiologist interested in ongoing clinical research and teaching. The appointment includes sessions in the cardiac catheter laboratory,
  • Cardiology outpatient clinic and rotations on ward service.
    Formal Qualifications required
  • Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia
  • FRACP and AHPRA registration in Cardiology
  • Higher degree (PhD or MD) is highly favourable.
