About the role

West Moreton Health is one of the largest employers in the West Moreton region, providing health and wellbeing services to the Somerset, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley and Ipswich communities.

As one of the fastest growing Health Services in Queensland, we are focussed on creating workforce pipelines that will benefit students, staff, and the entire West Moreton community bringing employment opportunities closer to home.

This is a brand-new position that will be dedicated to developing and implementing workforce programs such as: entry pathways, traineeships, work experience, internships, and cadetships across all disciplines.


A typical day will see you:

  • Coordinating the design, development, and implementation of workforce programs such as school-based traineeships, work experience, internships, and other entry pathways.
  • Liaising with program participants and relevant colleagues to ensure participants receive appropriate support and mentoring to assist them to further their development and employment options.
  • Building strong relationships and partner with education providers to share knowledge and insights and enhance opportunities for students and graduates to obtain relevant industry knowledge and experience, whilst promoting WMH as an employer of choice to attract and inspire future health professionals.
  • Assisting with the preparation of resources, marketing materials and implementation of strategies which promote career opportunities at WMH.

  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.

Mandatory Requirements:


  • Vaccinated against COVID19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
