What's your mission?

The Integration and Services Domain develop and operate key technology platforms underpinning digital identity, and banking services.

Our analysts play a key role in ensuring we're building the right services and platform capability that ensure we can offer the very best customer experiences.


As an Analyst supporting Open Banking for ANZ Plus (within the Join Value Stream), your team's mission is to design and deliver the strategic response to the Open Banking regulatory directive as it relates to consent, identity, authentication and authorisation for ANZ Plus.

We'll be introducing simple and secure ways for our customers to share and consume data with ANZ Plus.

It is an exciting and challenging place to be, as it will require programme wide co-ordination, a rapid focus on technical and business problem solving, and a team of can do people ready to go the extra mile to get the job done.


You'll employ your broad knowledge of modern digital identity technology to help reshape how customers share data and manage data sharing consents, while demonstrating compliance with the regulatory requirements to support the initiative.

Your work will require you to work autonomously and self-govern where possible. You will bring a creative and customer focused mindset to the role.

What will your day look like?

It's a very fast paced environment so no two days will be the same.

You will play a leading role in your squad ensuring that it is clear on requirements and priorities, and is aligned to customer value.

As well as the normal business analyst responsibilities of requirements elicitation, process analysis, managing squad backlogs, and working with initiative and release leads you will also:

Partner with squad's product owner to prepare feature roadmaps for your squad aligned to broader Open Banking objectives and value.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, ANZ PLUS platform teams, and external bank areas (e.g. OCV one customer view, Core Systems, Open Banking) to complete solution designs.

Collaborate with product owners and engineers to translate business requirements into workable technology outcomes for the Squad.

Work with internal technology, security, and risk partners to ensure our solutions are secure and well-managed.

Actively monitor operation of platforms and propositions to ensure they continue meet SLO's.

Verifying and validating what's in production (especially after changes)

Learn from your chapter peers and share what you know.

What will be in your toolkit?

Business acumen and a commercial mindset to ensure solutions deliver business value
Experience working hands-on within cross-functional, continuous delivery software engineering teams
Strong interest and grasp of technical concepts and practices
Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor communication to audience
An enthusiastic can-do attitude, and willingness to help the squad deliver


Agile delivery techniques:

User story mapping
Translating requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria
Backlog management (prioritisation, refinement, planning, estimation, and forecasting)
Feature decomposition
Facilitation of agile rituals (Planning, Stand-up, Showcase, Retrospectives)
Experience working with Architecture and Engineering leads to complete solution designs including:
OpenAPI design
Data modelling
Process modelling
System interaction modelling (sequence diagrams)
System context modelling

End-to-end delivery experience of complex system initiatives, including:
Dependency management
Change impact analysis


Enablement team engagement:
E.g. Security, Risk, Data teams
JIRA, Confluence, Plant UML.
Desirable experience

Open Banking domain knowledge and experience
Identity and Access Management domain knowledge
Financial Services and Home Lending domain knowledge
Working in a regulated environments - Information Security, Compliance and Operational requirements for banking systems
Experience with Cloud Technologies and concepts.
