Department
Alfred Health Radiation Oncology is a leading cancer service with state-of-the-art technology enabling advanced treatment to cancer patients.

The service is comprised of two departments, Alfred Radiation Oncology (ARO) based at The Alfred and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) located at Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH).

Position Summary

The Radiation Oncology Information Technology Support Specialist Role will focus on looking after local specialised IT needs of the Radiotherapy department while maintaining efficient IT systems workflow for all staff groups.

Under the direction of the Operation Manager, the IT Support Specialist will also contribute to a variety of projects, provide expert advice, programming/scripting where required and perform support analysis activities across a range of different systems, with the department's established technical and administrative processes.

From time to time the IT Support Specialist may be required to take part in some shift work and/or on-call duties, and may also be required to attend GRO.

The role will be based at The Alfred.

Qualifications and Experience Required

A qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Previous experience working in a technical delivery role
Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
Experience in integration and architecture management
