You will have at least two supported rotations through a diverse range of services at Alfred Health, developing your confidence and competence to work with a range of clients and presenting issues

You will be enrolled in Alfred Health's Psychology Registrar Learning and Development Program.

You will learn and network with peers at a similar stage of development, as well as learn from guest speakers from specialist areas

Role Description:


  • This is an exciting position for a new graduate psychologist, which will support your transition into the workforce after completion of your postgraduate training. It is a twoyear position during which time you will be supported to undertake the AHPRA registrar program for endorsement as a clinical neuropsychologist.
  • You will have the opportunity to complete at least two 12month rotations in services within Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH):
  • adult inpatient psychiatry
- adult community psychiatry programs, and
- consultation-liaison psychiatry

  • As a member of multidisciplinary teams, you will learn from others, give and receive support from your colleagues, develop skills in consultation and liaison, and work closely with all staff to achieve high quality outcomes for consumers and their carers.
  • To support your development, you will have:
  • access to onsite clinical supervision as well as supervision and support provided by a dedicated psychology educator
- be enrolled in Alfred Health's Psychology Registrar Learning and Development Program, which includes regular professional development workshops, case-presentations from other registrars, and the chance to network with other psychology registrars working across the hospital
- access to professional development opportunities through the psychology department
- in addition to the PsyBA competencies for your clinical registrar program, you will also be supported to develop personal wellness and resilience strategies and explore career pathways in public health.


Qualifications Required:


  • Essential
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • General registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 200
  • Eligibility to enrol in the Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar Program under PsyBA
