Reporting to the
Field Service Supervisor, the
Field Service Heavy Diesel Mechanic will carry out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner.

Mostly an autonomous role, you will have to maintain focus on all safety aspects complying with both WesTrac and our customer's policies and procedures.

The variety of equipment you will be working on includes;
Dozers D6, D7, D8, D9, D10 and D11 Dozers, Wheel Loaders from 924 construction loaders to 994 mining loaders,

Graders such as 120, 140, 160, 14, 16, 18 and 24M and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (773F - 793F).

This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.

Roster options:

12 hour days.

To be successful the following is required:

Australian-recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience
Field Service Experience and/or dealership exposure
A very keen interest and knowledge of CAT products whilst always wanting to continuously learn on the job
Heavy equipment product knowledge
Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac's SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer

Required tickets

High Risk, Dogging, Working at Heights
Minimum LR license or willing to obtain and truck license
Refrigerant Handling Licence (preferred but not essential)
