    About the Company

    Our client is a top-tier international construction contractor that is recognized globally as one of the world's most successful contracting companies. They are the head contractor currently undertaking the replacement of the iconic Fremantle Traffic Bridge in Perth where they have a superb 3 month contract opportunity for a PROJECT ENGINEER to manage the Civils, Traffic, and Landscaping scopes on this awesome project.

    About the Role

    Whilst initially a 3 month contract, this PROJECT ENGINEER position offers the opportunity to get your foot in the door and impress a top tier contractor that has other major projects underway in the Perth metro region. As PROJECT ENGINEER based at the project site in Fremantle from Monday to Friday (6.30am-5.00pm), and half day Saturday, you will support the planning and delivery of the civils, landscaping and traffic management works. Offering your professional expertise and guidance on construction methodology, you'll provide solutions to daily technical challenges to maintain progress. In addition, the successful PROJECT ENGINEER will support the Project Manager and SPE and site delivery team to ensure QA/QC, manage subcontractors, track costs, and supervise the works. This role will suit a flexible, PROJECT ENGINEER who has previous Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contracting experience in Australia, on civils, underground services, traffic management and landscaping, will be highly regarded. On offer will be a terrific pay rate CIRCA $70-75/hr + Super which is flexible pending your level of experience to date.

    Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Other Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering minimum
    • Minimum 4-5 years' of experience as Site Engineer or PROJECT ENGINEER working for civil contractors on infrastructure projects in Australia
    • Past project experience working as a Site Engineer or PROJECT ENGINEER on civils and traffic management scopes for roads, highways, bridges in WA will be highly advantageous
    • Proven success operating as PROJECT ENGINEER on large infrastructure projects valued $100M+ in Australia
    • Previous experience or exposure to Perth MRWA/PTA projects will be highly regarded
    • Excellent cost tracking and subcontractor management skills
    • Friendly disposition with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
    • Perth/WA based with existing rights to work in Australia
    • Available immediately to start, or at 1 weeks' notice maximum
