- 5-10 years' experience working in mining, utilities or hydrocarbons industries.
- Degree or trade qualified – Electrical Desirable
- Site experience is essential.
- Relevant experience in a project or design engineering team, with site and office deliverables.
- Confidence in project practices, principles and procedures.
- Experience in lump sum EPC projects.
- Experience and understanding of working with project phases from concept through to commissioning.
- Ability to work with site and office-based teams (design, trades, client and contractors).
- Experience in operating across a range of multi-discipline teams to achieve the project goals and objectives.
- Experience in planning, scheduling and monitoring projects.
- Experience in implementing progress measurement systems and its update.
- Experience in preparing tender documents and managing the tender process.
- Highly developed communication, team and interpersonal skills.
- Monitor, control and report progress of projects against multiple project timelines, milestones and key performance indicators.
- Manage the execution of small projects, including managing on site works as may be required.
- Identify and document potential risks and develop effective control strategies to mitigate and minimise.
- Assist with the interface between engineering and construction team members, sub-contractors and key stakeholders to provide solutions and support successful delivery of projects.
- Use scheduling and document management tools to update, track and record project performance.
- Identify value engineering opportunities.
- Assist with general project control duties including:
- Management of variations by analysing the implications of scope change on issues such as cost, safety, quality and schedule.
- Generating regular reports for key stakeholders.
- Assist in the management of all variation/TQ/RFI and action registers.

About you
You will be a Project Engineer looking for a range of challenging and industry leading projects. Ideally, you will have experience in oil & gas, although experiences across manufacturing, infrastructure or heavy industry is also valued.
