ABOUT THE ROLE:


We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic theatre technician to join our established team at Werribee Mercy Hospital - Operating Theatre.

Located in the Catherine McAuley building, the 6 suite complex is a modern suite with natural light; a great foundation for our growing service.


  • Permanent full time
  • Grade
  • The successful applicant will undertake standard duties of a theatre technician, which include supporting elective and emergency surgeries & responding to the needs of the department and service.
  • Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will be required to provide a highly responsive and flexible service to patients and their carers.
  • The Grade 5 theatre technician, in addition to standard duties, will support theatre management in the daily operational requirements, as well as provide planned leave relief for the Theatre Technician Manager.
  • Hours of work are based on a 7day roster with full shift requirements which will include an oncall component.

ABOUT YOU:


  • Certificate III & IV in Health-Operating Theatre Technician Practice or equivalent is essential
  • Current and role specific experience is essential.
  • Additional training or certification such as Laser Safety Management highly desirable.
