Description

As the
Cleaning Manager - Night Shift, you will lead the on-site cleaning teams at Sydney Airport - a prestigious, high profile location.

You will deliver exceptional cleaning services across all 3 Airport Terminals and ensure the highest standard of presentation.

As an experienced people leader, you will have full autonomy and responsibility for people, safety, service and performance - at night, when the majority of the cleaning is performed.


This role will require availability 5 days a week, 10 pm - 6 am.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure efficient cleaning in all 3 Airport Terminals lead the teams responsible for scheduled cleaning tasks in areas that cannot be cleaned daily
  • Communicate effectively with the Assetlink Airport leadership group on the progress of the night cleaning work
  • Manage cleaning staff rosters in conjunction with the Roster Coordinator
  • Prepare safety and operational audits and regular machinery assessments
  • Manage site Subcontractors
  • Create and sustain a safe and productive environment for all
  • Lead and develop the onsite team: Senior Team Leaders and the frontline Cleaning Team members
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis of business achievements, opportunities and targets, including risk assessments, cost benefit and SWOT analysis

Desired Skills and Experience:


You will have

  • Commercial or retaill environment cleaning experience, ideally with multiple types of equipment and machinery
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience of large teams, including performance management
  • Experience in large retail environment advantage
  • Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally
  • Outstanding problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management, organisational and effective trouble shooting skills
  • Positive and engaging manner with all stakeholders, strong customer service orientation
  • Previous handson and formal staff training experience ideal
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential
  • Tertiary education preferred (not mandatory) or relevant workrelated experience ideal
  • Current open NSW driver licence
  • Fully vaccinated in COVID19
