We are looking for experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team for 3 to 4 days a week.

We are a medical practice that is customer service focused and would like a team member that enjoys being a part of a team that nurtures a positive workplace and colleagueship.

You will be joining a dynamic team that are a caring team of experienced receptionists. Focused on our patients experience and supportive environment where workplace culture is highly respected.


We would hold highly any skill sets that are related to medical positions previously or already working in a medical practice.

The duties include all aspects of Medical Receptionist, but must have a friendly and professional manner, and be patient focused providing costumer service.

We want all our patients to feel comfortable and welcomed to our practice. This position would suit an AIN or someone that has been working in administration in a healthcare environment.

This is a fast-paced practice, and the applicant would need to have the ability to work efficiently and effectively when faced with constraints which are often outside of your control.


This position is a Permanent Part Time position offering 3 or 4 days a week which includes all entitlements for a permanent part time position.

All medical receptionist and administration duties are as follows:

  • Managing a very busy appointment system and management of appointment flow for twelve doctors
  • Being able to manage a very busy incoming phone system.
  • Being able to work under pressure and still support the team during busy period.
  • Being able to communicate clearly and accurately with your colleagues and clinical teams is imperative.
  • Manage consultation and documentation on patient's arrival and departure.
  • Manage accounts accurately and consistently.
  • Inform patients about billing policies.
  • Manage private billing systems.
  • Process credit card and Eftpos payments for private billing.
  • Process third party billing (eg Life and Superannuation examinations, preemployment medicals)
  • Complete end of day reconciliations and prepare banking.
  • Understand the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS
  • Manage medical records and data systems.
  • Track test results and reports from specialists.
  • Manage patient recall systems as required.
  • Maintain the security of patient record systems.
  • Batching of Medicare & DVA and reconciling
  • Preparation of Health Summaries
  • Scanning patients' medical documents
  • Faxing and Photocopies of identity documents
  • Production of Medico Legal records
  • Report Typing
  • Enjoys working in a highpressure environment.
  • Computer and good keyboard skills is essential for this position.
