    The Opportunity

    The role of the Asset Lead - Chemicals, Consumables, Equipment and Machinery will ensure that the external supply of services and equipment necessary to support the FM and Proactive Services Teams are available, safe, tested and functional to perform at the highest possible standard at all times.

    The role will partner with the FM and Proactive Services teams, Procurement and external service providers. Time will be spent delivering high levels of compliance and reporting and contract management

  • Responsible for the ongoing management of supply and service contracts to support the Proactive Services operations.
  • Liaise and consult with FM Operations teams to ensure all items are fit for use and maintained to required standard to ensure safe and smart operation.
  • Provide input and advice into future supply and service agreements.
  • Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to manage change control for any new items including appropriate testing, standards and functional operation prior to release.
  • Ensure supplier performance reviews are carried out to optimise the performance of all assets in the portfolio and take corrective action as required with supply.
  • Maintain market knowledge to ensure contemporary thinking applied to contribute to safer, smarter and more sustainable operations.
  • Ensure all support processes for equipment are delivered to standards required to support the daily operations of the instore teams.

    • Who we are looking for:

    Working with a passionate team who strive to provide the best possible facilities and proactive services to our frontline stores team, it will be essential for you to have strong stakeholder management skills, exceptional excel and data analysis experience.

  • Relevant qualifications in Facility Management, Cleaning Services, Supermarket Operations or a related discipline.
  • Experience in managing service providers in a facilities management role within a large multi-site organisation.
  • Understanding and sensitive to a FMCG retail operation and the impact the category has on the FM operation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large supplier contracts
  • Financial acumen - analysis and reporting
  • Advanced user of either Google or Microsoft systems, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, including consultation, negotiation and high level presentation skills.
