Bout the client:

Our client is a government backed Non for profit organisation devoted to supporting the community within the healthcare sector.

Based in North Sydney, they are seeking an IT manager to oversee a small team and be the liason between the business and an external IT provider.

Your focus will be to oversee and enhance their IT landscape with a focus on cyber security. This role will ahve flexibility to work from home and reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an IT strategy emphasizing cyber security and infrastructure enhancement.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and devise effective mitigation strategies.
Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, user training, and compliance with regulations.
Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
Monitor cyber security threats, implement staff education programs, and evaluate service levels of thirdparty providers.
Manage both cloud and onpremises server maintenance and hardware components.
Review and implement ongoing system improvements, maintaining an IT asset register.
Foster relationships with thirdparty providers and provide IT support as necessary.
Conduct new staff orientations, setting up IT accounts and ensuring a secure IT environment.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant field.
Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience in devising and executing IT strategies, especially within M365 environments.
Leadership experience and ability to collaborate across departments.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Familiarity with notforprofit or governmentfunded programs (desirable).
Ideally have knowledge in:
CRM
Dynamics / BI reporting
