Bout the client:

Our client is a government backed Non for profit organisation devoted to supporting the community within the healthcare sector.

Based in North Sydney, they are seeking an IT manager to oversee a small team and be the liason between the business and an external IT provider.

Your focus will be to oversee and enhance their IT landscape with a focus on cyber security. This role will ahve flexibility to work from home and reports directly to the CEO.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement an IT strategy emphasizing cyber security and infrastructure enhancement.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, user training, and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Monitor cyber security threats, implement staff education programs, and evaluate service levels of thirdparty providers.
  • Manage both cloud and onpremises server maintenance and hardware components.
  • Review and implement ongoing system improvements, maintaining an IT asset register.
  • Foster relationships with thirdparty providers and provide IT support as necessary.
  • Conduct new staff orientations, setting up IT accounts and ensuring a secure IT environment.

Requirements:


  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience in devising and executing IT strategies, especially within M365 environments.
  • Leadership experience and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with notforprofit or governmentfunded programs (desirable).
  • Ideally have knowledge in:

  • Dynamics / BI reporting

  • HR3 (there are a number of web based platforms being utilised for HR)
