Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Providing editorial assistance and technical support as needed;
  • Managing the import and export of various file formats in Avid Media Composer to meet production needs;
  • Working with the Editor on animatics, layout and animation including dialogue takes, sound effects and music cues;
  • Assisting with assembling sequences in preparation for review;
  • Delivering and updating scenes to and from editorial;
  • Assisting production with tracking of dialogue changes and updates from scratch to final dialogue;
  • Recording scratch track as required by Production, Director/s or Editor;
  • Helping to create and maintain a library of sound effects and music cues relevant to the style of the project/s;
  • Participating in meetings about story and edit pipeline to ensure a smooth process throughout production;
  • Working with various departments, i

e:
layout/animation to manage flow of files from and to editorial;

  • Liaising with the Editor and/or production crew to manage priorities and demands on a daily basis, as well as taking responsibility for general workflow within the editorial department;
  • Handovers to various departments, i

e:
sound designer, composer etc;

  • Quality control of all cuts that leave editorial;
  • Managing requested exports for various external third parties ensuring that appropriate watermarks (and timecodes) appear and meet security requirements;
  • Liaising with the post facility to ensure technical specifications are met for delivery of all versions of the project/s;
  • Adhering to the delivery schedule as outlined by Production for delivery of final materials for the project/s;
  • Preparing various materials for studio and audience screenings.
