Flying Bark Productions is on the hunt for an experience Lighting Supervisor to work in our Sydney studio

As the Lighting Supervisor, you will be entrusted with a range of critical duties essential to the success of our productions


These include:

  • Supervising a team of Lighters, ensuring both creative excellence and technical proficiency in the execution of assigned shots.
  • Demonstrating organisational prowess and methodical approach in managing extensive shot lists, overseeing version tracking, and efficient render management.
  • Proactively engaging with upstream teams and production stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborating with the Pipeline team to identify and implement enhancements to the Lighting pipeline, streamlining workflow and optimizing efficiency.
  • Ensuring the delivery of final programs aligns precisely with technical specifications outlined by Producers, while meeting the creative vision of Directors and Producers.
  • Working closely with the VFX Supervisor to uphold consistent and high production values across all aspects of our projects.
  • Crafting clear and concise briefs, and conducting comprehensive reviews to uphold the highest standards of production quality.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication systems, workflows, file management protocols, and production tracking mechanisms, all within budget and schedule parameters.
  • Vigilantly monitoring production schedules, identifying potential bottlenecks, delays, or risks, and proactively addressing these concerns to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Attending all requisite meetings, creative sessions, and technical reviews as directed by the Production Company.
  • Implementing efficient communication channels and production systems to facilitate seamless collaboration between production partners and various departments throughout all stages of production.
  • Cultivating a culture of open communication and fostering a positive, solutionsoriented mindset within the team to tackle challenges effectively throughout the production cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and clear articulation of ideas.
  • Profound understanding of CG pipeline, processes, software, and related technical aspects pertinent to television and film production.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, including diplomacy, solutionoriented thinking, composure under pressure, outstanding time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Seniorlevel proficiency as a CG artist, with specialized expertise in lighting and compositing.

Pay:
$120, $125,000.00 per year
