About The Position


Reporting to the Maintenance supervisor, you will assist with maintaining the safe and efficient running of all plant, equipment, and buildings at the Refinery, whilst adhering to the legislative and organisation OHS&E requirements.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns using advanced problemsolving techniques and strong technical expertise.
  • Provide mechanical preventative maintenance.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, welders and general machining, including an EWP, and a Forklift.
  • Complete daily work records, machine logbooks and preventative maintenance work sheets.
  • Complete a Safety Take 5 for each task undertaken and JSA as required.
  • Implement a program of continual process improvement.
  • Comply fully with all relevant company, national and state policies, codes of practise, regulations and laws.
  • Maintain skills and experience as required in a contemporary work environment.
  • Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work.

About You:


  • An Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety principles and ability to always follow safe working procedures.
  • Able to cope with physical demands of the job
