About the role

In this position, you will lead a function responsible for providing the Workers Compensation Claims Operation with oversight and insight into best claims practices and performance.

You'll uncover, plan and implement improvement opportunities and support wider business strategy to improve our overall process and approach to claims management.

The role will lead a group of talented professionals and work across the entire business unit with the leaders and senior leadership team to ensure there is a consistent approach and successful change management to any improvement changes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the delivery of a consistent and impactful Workers' Compensation product and claims service for our customers, through alignment of claims processes and procedures
Driving a continuous improvement focus on claims processes and procedures through proactive innovation
Maximising and improving productivity within the VIC Workers Compensation operation
Ensuring the successful delivery of our best practice claims management model and

team/business initiatives

Contributing to the analysis of strategic performance, and preparing strategic

plans and reporting for the claim's operation

Assisting with the development, streamlining and implementation of new policies, processes and procedures to meet business needs
Maintaining knowledge of industry changes and domestic trends
Analysing and proactively monitoring internal and external risks
Identifying opportunities that are consistent with the strategy of the business

We're interested in hearing from people who possess:

Advanced knowledge of Personal Injury management concepts relating to Workers Compensation Scheme in Victoria
Strong leadership, influencing and motivational skills, particularly in the management of senior leaders
Significant experience in all aspects of operational management
Demonstrated history of development of strategy to execution
Experience in managing performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics
Clear communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
