Salary: Group Financial Controller, $250k-$290k + STI + benefits

The Company

The role will be dynamic and varied including operational and commercial business support to internal stakeholders. This role is excellent for a driven individual with skills in technical accounting, process improvement, and has proven ability in building and maintaining strong business relationships from both an internal and an external viewpoint. This Group Financial Controller needs to be career minded and a strong leader. A passion to be an Executive in the mid range future would be your career goal.
The Job
Reporting directly to the GM of Finance, this Group Financial Controller Manager will have overall responsibility for the corporate accounting including:
Additionally, you will partner with the GM Finance to develop the groups overall financial strategy. This will include risk management, commercial analysis, due diligence, and providing insights into financial exposures and capital transactions across the group.
Finally you will lead the corporate accounting team, providing mentorship and succession planning to ensure a high performing team is retained.
Candidate Profile
You are currently CA qualified with extensive chartered experience in an external audit capacity. You will have extensive ASX experience from within audit or from within an ASX environment. You will be working at a Financial Controller or Corporate Accounting/ Corporate Finance Manager within a large organisation. You will have proven background in managing large complex teams and have demonstrated the leadership in increasing the team's capabilities over time.
From a technical standpoint, you have exposure to writing high quality board reports and have strong corporate/ financial control experience within an ASX environment. Exposure to commercial industries such as FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing will be viewed favourably.
Finally, you will be a commercially astute and able to build strong relationships throughout the organisation. You will partner with various parts of the business including divisional CFOs and CEOs right through to the group executive team.
In return you will be joining a blue chip ASX with fantastic exposure to the senior executive team. This position can progress to multiple roles within the organisation and is a fantastic stepping stone for progression.
