On behalf of Sydney Freezers Distribution and Storage, a premier provider of temperature-controlled storage and distribution solutions servicing a wide array of industries with a comprehensive range of products from smallgoods to fresh meat, poultry, frozen seafood, and dry and frozen goods, we specialise in maintaining the integrity and freshness of all food categories.

Our cutting-edge facilities ensure optimal storage conditions, preserving the quality of perishable items throughout the supply chain.

With a fleet of 60 plus delivery trucks, we guarantee reliable and fast delivery services, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

The company is based in the Dr, Bankstown NSW 2200 area and is conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Electronic Equipment technician to join the elite team.

Current Opening:

This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).

Position Responsibilities and Tasks:

Carry out diagnosis to identify necessary repairs and errors of refrigerated trucks and associated equipment.
Test freezer machines using a variety of diagnostic tools including visual inspection to evaluate serviceability and ensure functionality.
Calibrate or replace damaged parts, broken wires and cracked cables or reassemble faulty electrical components and parts of freezers/refrigerated trucks.
Perform preventative and routine maintenance on freezer machines according to standards set by the company and manufacturer.
Correct or replace malfunctioning electronic units of refrigerated trucks and vans.
Repair defective parts of refrigerated trucks and related equipment used to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
Advise colleagues or designated staff member of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunction of Sydney Freezer's refrigerated trucks and vans and preserve quality of food products.
Monitor performance of freezers and refrigerated machines owned by the company.
Ensure that temperature meter of freezers and refrigerated vehicles indicates correct information.
Maintain logs of repairs and other equipmentrelated matters.
Manage stocks of electronic parts and components or coordinate the purchase of functional components to replace faulty electronic parts.
Fix or mount electronic instruments and associated apparatus of Sydney Freezer's refrigerated vehicles/machines, as needed.
Work according to health safety policy and guidelines

Qualifications and Skills:

Certificate in related field.
A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
Strong technical knowledge of electronic systems and equipment.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic systems efficiently.
Effective communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues and other trades.

Salary:

The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
