We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Sales and Service Consultants to join our client on a permanent basis.


This full-time position is ideal for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants looking to start a career with one of Australia and New Zealand's largest insurance companies based in Melbourne CBD.

As a Sales and Service Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and promoting our client's personal insurance products to our valued customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Respond to inbound customer telephone calls and on some occasions, initiate customer calls.

  • Customer service
  • Provide customers with correct information
  • Take steps to retain customers
  • Resolve customer inquiries quickly, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Upsell options by promoting benefits to the customer based on their needs
  • Sell the benefits of products and try to make a sale during interaction with customer
  • Cross sell insurance products
  • Maintain policies and change details as needed
  • Maintain accuracy of customer data
  • Process payments from customers
  • Handle customer concerns and objections
  • Adhere to compliance guidelines when conducting business with customers
  • Follow best practice procedures
  • Participate in weekly and monthly coaching.

Technical Skills required:


  • Ability to work with multiple systems and pick up new tech quickly

What we need from you:


  • Year 10 or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service handling customers concerns/ objections
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • A proactive approach to work showing initiative and a positive attitude
  • Communicate well at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Team player, supporting and assisting colleagues whenever possible
  • Demonstrate resilience in a forever changing and complex environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Passionate about your own learning and development
  • You will be based in Melbourne
