About the role
As an Safety & Training Coordinator, your duties and responsibilities shall include the following as a minimum:

Ensure employees comply with Redpath Australia's management operation procedures (MOP's);
Coordinate and participate in Redpath's workplace inspection schedule on site including tracking personnel participation levels;
Conduct risk assessment and JSA training;
Prepare and conduct toolbox and safety meetings;
Assist the operations with the risk management processes on site such as JSA's and risk assessments;
Develop and implement training modules for the workforce;
Regularly review Safety Data Sheets;
Review all new substances that come on site to ensure that all site requirements are met i.e. approval form, risk assessment, entered onto register, PPE required;
Conduct rehabilitation and return to work coordinators duties on site including compiling documentation, managing injured workers, consulting with health professionals;
Report all incidents, accidents or near misses;
Conduct investigations for incidents as required on site and within designated time frames;
Ensure reporting of all reportable incidents that occur on site within designated time frames;
Provide advice to management of Workplace Health and Safety legislative requirements;
Ensure training documentation for all personnel is filed and maintained;
Conduct Workplace Inspections (eg Take 5's/TTTCs) and JSA's when required.
Experience in a safety professional role within the mining, construction or heavy industry;
Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent;
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
Current first aid & CPR qualification;
Qualified or be able to become a qualified Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator;
Current Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) qualifications;
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation legislation in Queensland;
Proven leadership skills and the ability to lead by example;
Solid planning and organisational skills so as to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities.

High attention to detail;
Outstanding integrity;
