    We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join Northern Health as the Team Leader for the Emergency Mental Health (EMH) team.

    The role:

    This role requires high level clinical expertise within the EMH and its components with respect to the assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers, and supports other clinicians in the delivery of high-quality mental health care.

    The Team Leader participates in clinical service development activities within the Team, encourages and support quality initiatives and research.

    The Team Leader supports the Bed Access Coordination for Northern/North West AMHS.

    The role involves the provision of supervision to staff as well as students within the relevant discipline.

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • Experience and good working knowledge of public mental health sector and relevant legislation.
    • Proven ability to lead/ manage highly skilled multidisciplinary workforce.
    • Highly skilled in assessment of mental health patients presenting in crisis.
    • Flexible and adaptive person that embraces change and able to take on challenges.
    • Keen to support and upskill direct reports as required.
